Innovative School Day

March

Throughout the month of March, during Innovative School Day, students will focus on their feelings and how those feelings affect their bodies. (Ex: "When I am nervous, I feel butterflies in my tummy." "When I feel embarrassed, my cheeks turn red, and they feel hot.") For each grade level's second Innovative School Day of the month, students will learn and practice different coping skills for negative feelings. Students will be reassured that

ALL FEELINGS ARE VALID!

Lessons will be taught through read aloud picture books, video clips, and group hands-on activities. All lessons are grade level specific and grade level appropriate.

What do you do when you have strong feelings?

Write what you do when you have strong feelings and bring it to Ms. Goldfarb in the counselor's office to be read on the morning announcements.
